Pages: 290
Series: Domestic Diva Mystery #4

Description:

A Scrooge steals presents right from under Sophie Winston’s family Christmas tree. Then her sister-in-law’s father show’s up with a diva girlfriend just a month after his separation. More than one person is thinking of committing a merry murder-until it actually happens! With many under suspicion for the deadly deed, can Sophie find the murderer and restore the Christmas spirit before it’s too late?

My Review:

Everyone in the Bauer family is excited to go to George and Laci’s for Christmas only to find that everyone in the neighborhood has been robbed, no presents under the trees which makes people wonder who the Grinch in the neighborhood is.  Add to that Laci’s family is deep in murder and mystery.  When Laci’s father brings a new fling to Christmas Laci, Shawna and their mother are deeply troubled by this let alone Boxing Day when the engagement between their father to Shawna’s boyfriends mother Bonnie is announced not even the groom saw this coming.  Within hours Bonnie is murdered and Shawna is knee deep in trouble.

I enjoyed this book even though I miss the interaction with Wolf as he is out of town with his family, as are Humphrey and Nina.  I missed the banter with those three characters but enjoyed learning more about George and Laci.  I also enjoyed Mars putting his foot down with Natasha who finally crossed the line with her Domestic Diva running crazy.  I think anyone who has read this series will be impressed that finally Mars took a stand against Natasha.

Definitely a great read for the holiday season.  One I could find myself reading again next Christmas.
