Adult Book Blogger Friday Hop #1

This blog hop is one is for a specific group. In order to do tag along you have to primarily have a book blog that reviews and post adult content. In other words, if you read adult romance books, then you can play tag along. Sorry YA or erotica readers, but if you read both (I know some of you do) you can tag along also. Just make sure you have both YA and adult romance on your blog.

I wanted to do this not only for myself, but for others out there that are looking for more adult book blogs.

It doesn't matter what you read if its paranormal, suspense, historical, contemporary or mystery. As long as it is adult then your in.

Blog Hop Question #1

This week on the Blog Hop, while I didn't sign up this time an interesting question was asked so I'm going to post my answer here.

"If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?"

For me, I always try my best to start at the beginning because key elements of the series may be revealed in the first book.  For example Sookie Stackhouse had I not read the first book I wouldn't know how Sookie and Bill came about.  Or I might not learn how deep her telepathy runs. House of Night is another example how would I know who or what turned Zoey Redbird?  I technically wouldn't have a clear answer on it.  While books 2,3,4,5, etc might sum up what characters have been up too, what it all boils down to what you miss by jumping in with book 3 or 4.  In Zoey's case I wouldn't understand why her friends are made at her after Chosen book 3, or why she is having difficulties with her high priestess.  So I always go in series order.

Question From Crazy-for-Books :This week's question comes from Vicki who blogs at The Wolf's Den:

"What are your feelings on losing followers? Have you ever stopped following a blog?"

My answer is I don't judge (too much) on the number of follows as I know some come and go as long as I see that people comment and help me better my blog I'm fine with that.  I know my books may not interest everyone so yes I can handle some if they drop.  Is my first reaction to go oh my god why did they leave?  Well yes I think everyone gets like that especially if you have the smaller followers.  I just strive to offer the best I can.  While I may not have the biggest publishers in my corner I still love what I can offer.  

Yes like most I have stopped following a blog mainly cause you are only alloted so many through blogger, plus if it's not a area that I can't benefit from in my reading for example you won't see me following a erotica reading site.  Mind you I have nothing against it but not something I'm overly interested in.  I tend to look for areas that benefit me, my family or my kids.  Doesn't mean they don't have great blogs just means they don't work for what I'm seeking.  What are your thoughts on this question feel free to share them :)
