Description:
Beatrice "Tris" Prior has reached the fateful age of sixteen, the stage at which teenagers in Veronica Roth's dystopian Chicago must select which of five factions to join for life. Each faction represents a virtue: Candor, Abnegation, Dauntless, Amity, and Erudite. To the surprise of herself and her selfless Abnegation family, she chooses Dauntless, the path of courage. Her choice exposes her to the demanding, violent initiation rites of this group, but it also threatens to expose a personal secret that could place her in mortal danger. Veronica Roth's young adult Divergent trilogy launches with a captivating adventure about love and loyalty playing out under most extreme circumstances.
My Review:
"Tris" thinks taking the test won't be too hard. She surprises herself when she becomes labeled by her tester as a Divergent which puts her in different categories where the choice lays with her with path she will choose. Her brother indicates to her that she should choose what she wants and not what is expected.
The life of Dauntless is brutal at least, using guns, combat, and much worse. She begins to question herself on the path she has chosen. Whether it was the right one. She becomes know as the first to jump. Al becomes the first to fight. She quickly makes friends with Will and Christina.
Factions start rising up against Factions using Dauntless as killing machines, it is up to Tris's family and Tobias and Tris to fight against them.
Can't wait to see what happens in the next book this one was amazing to say the least!
