Instead, her goat goes missing, rain muddies her fields, the town denies her business permits, and her family’s Colonial-era farm sucks up the remains of her savings.

Just when she thinks she’s reached the bottom of the rain barrel, Megan and the town’s hunky veterinarian discover the local zoning commissioner’s battered body in her barn. Now Megan is thrust into the middle of a murder investigation—and she’s the chief suspect. Can Megan dig through small-town secrets, local politics, and old grievances in time to find a killer before that killer strikes again?

My Thoughts:

This book follows Megan who is taking care of her grandmother and run the family farm giving up her big law career.  What she didn't count on was her goat missing.  Where did the goat go?  Megan seems to have a lot of things working against her. Megan also finds herself deep in a murder investigation it's up to Megan to figure out who killed the zoning commissioner and why put him in her barn?

This book was full of mystery and adventure and everything we come to love about cozy mysteries.  Anyone who loves cozies will especially love this book I can't wait to see what the author comes up with next for Megan her grandmother and all the towns people of Winsome!
