Tommy simply must join in the fun. He and his friend, Michael the raccoon, fashion their own costumes and head off to join in the festivities. Thanks to Tommy’s knock-knocking beak and Michael’s quick paws, the duo is able to heist many a candy bar from the unsuspecting homeowners and children.
But are they missing out on the true spirit of Halloween?
My Thoughts:
This was a great kids story about a woodpecker named Tommy and his friend Michael the raccoon who are curious to the holiday of Halloween and kids in costumes and getting candy. When the duo ends up stealing all the candy and eating too much, they learn that sometimes things like Halloween are better for humans.
I enjoyed this story and loved the pictures. I think all sorts of kids would love this story. Thank you to Emlyn Chand for sharing such a great kids story!
