Matched by: Ally Condie Review

Description off of Goodreads:
Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate . . . until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.

The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow.

My Review:

Never in my time of reading has book gripped me in such a way this one did, a lot of questions popped into my head about whether this could actually happen. The society in this book decides what you eat how much, how much exercise you get, who you will be matched with as your husband and so on. Cassia has waited so long to be matched and is thrilled when she is matched with Xander her long time friend. What she doesn't count on is the micro card screw up. When she puts in the micro card the next day to learn about her match, she is concerned when the face that comes up is Ky another friend of hers. He shouldn't be in the match pool. To make matters worse she finds herself falling in love with him. She wonders if the Society is without errors. This book had me feeling various emotions and towards the end I was feeling the anger she was feeling about The Society. Definitely a great book.
