Description:

Not too much happens in the sleepy little town of Timber Ridge, North Carolina, —which is fine with pizza-purveyor extraordinaire Eleanor Swift. The spunky owner of A Slice of Delight is trying to mend her broken heart and could use a little quiet time. But when a late night delivery customer turns up dead, she's in for just the opposite in this delicious mystery series debut, featuring pizza as the prima character . . .

My Thoughts:

Eleanor Swift finds herself in a whole slew of trouble early on in this book, when she delivers a pizza and finds Richard Olsen the owner dead on arrival.  She calls the police which puts up red flags with them that maybe she is guilty of murder.  Eleanor and her sister Maddy are out to figure out just who murdered Richard so that they can clear Eleanor's name and restore order to Timber Ridge.

Unfortunately there seem to be too many suspects and narrowing the list down proves quite the chore. Everyone from a neighbor Richard argued with to people he was blackmailing to his next of kin his sister.  Unfortunately the clues to who did it were minimal at best.

Also in this book was the introduction to a male interest for Eleanor who's husband Joe died two years ago.  David wants a chance with Eleanor but Eleanor feels that Joe was her one true love and doesn't think she will find anyone else, her sister Maddy wants her to live again and not be dead to romance.

This book was great for those who love cozy murders happening around a local Pizzeria.  It defintely drew me into the series to want to learn more about Maddy, Eleanor and even Chief Kevin.  What a great story with me not knowing until the end who really did it!
