Guest Post by: Christine Meunier Author of Horse Country

Much can be Learnt from Books by: Christine Meunier

The world of fiction and fact is an incredible one to delve into.  Books create for the reader a time to escape and dream.  The exciting thing about books is that they can be informative, too, teaching the reader and helping them to pursue ideas and events in real life.

This is why I have written Horse Country.  Things that I was experiencing whilst working with horses would make great tales to tell others.  These verbal tales became ways to introduce others to the horse industry and also to educate students on what to do in the event that something in particular was to happen with a horse or horses.

Horse Country explores the lives of four young women as they find themselves and work with an animal that they are passionate about.  Two of the women have grown up in a horse riding environment, one dropped out of school at 16 to pursue horses and the last works through high school before going on to study horses at a Diploma level in TAFE.

Each character has a different tale to tell, but one thing is the same: horses can provide a rewarding and interesting career that can put you in good stead for working almost anywhere in the world.

Is there a particular book that has encouraged you to pursue a dream or career?  It is my hope that those who read Horse Country will be inspired to dream and be proactive about their role with horses in the world.  Fictional novels can lead to real life inspiration.  I hope everyone manages to find a book that inspires them into action!

Horse Country is set for release on July 1st, 2013.  Details about the novel can be found at http://www.horsecountrybook.com/
