Description:
Quinn Robbins has just returned from spending ten days in Eirentheos, a world she had never known existed. Trying to settle back into her familiar life and establish a relationship with her new boyfriend, Zander, is more of a challenge than she ever dreamed it would be.
Things are just beginning to feel normal again when Thomas shows up in her world, and invites her back to Eirentheos for a royal wedding. She's excited at the chance to reconnect with the people and places she had begun to fall in love with.
What she doesn't realize is just how deeply connected with this new world she might become ... and just what old secrets might be beginning to unravel.
The second book in the beloved Dusk Gate series reconnects Quinn with the charming princes, and the pristine world of Eirentheos. From a beautiful royal wedding to a dangerous rescue mission, Quinn's adventures are about to take her life on a course that will change it forever.
My Thoughts:
As Quinn is adjusting back to life in her world, she wonders if she can sustain a friendship with Wiliam Rose now that she is back with her friends. Just when things were getting back to normal Thomas shows up to invite Quinn to a wedding. Through out this book we see William try to give Quinn the facts that she will be hurting people in the end. At some point she would have to give up either her family and friends and relationships or the Eirentheos. After the wedding Thomas kisses Quinn and tells her he's about to go on a dangerous mission to find his cousin Lily. This is right before Quinn crosses the gate back.
Quinn notices something isn't right with William, he's unresponsive and just going through the motions while his mind is somewhere else. She finds out that Thomas never came home. Quinn tells William what she knows and drags him with her through the gate. There they devise a plan with others to rescue Thomas.
Something weird is going on when others around William and Quinn talk about Quinn and not telling her what is going on. Quinn also is having more violent nightmares that she doesn't know what they mean. Eventually Thomas is released along with some other prisoners and brought to where Quinn and William are, there he is healed the best that can be in the other world.
The ending was great and left so much open wanting to know more. Can't wait to read the third book in this great series!
