Description:

A hidden truth.
Mortal enemies.
Doomed love.
Marked as special at an early age, Jacinda knows her every move is watched. But she longs for freedom to make her own choices. When she breaks the most sacred tenet among her kind, she nearly pays with her life. Until a beautiful stranger saves her. A stranger who was sent to hunt those like her. For Jacinda is a draki—a descendant of dragons whose greatest defense is her secret ability to shift into human form.
Forced to flee into the mortal world with her family, Jacinda struggles to adapt to her new surroundings. The only bright light is Will. Gorgeous, elusive Will who stirs her inner draki to life. Although she is irresistibly drawn to him, Jacinda knows Will's dark secret: He and his family are hunters. She should avoid him at all costs. But her inner draki is slowly slipping away—if it dies she will be left as a human forever. She'll do anything to prevent that. Even if it means getting closer to her most dangerous enemy.
Mythical powers and breathtaking romance ignite in this story of a girl who defies all expectations and whose love crosses an ancient divide.
My Review:
This is definitely a different kind of supernatural book. Jacinda is a draki which is a dragon her talent is breathing fire.   Finally having enough of the rules set forth by the tribe she and a friend assume their natural state during daylight, and almost get killed for their effort.  Being hunted by a group of humans set to hunt all dragons.
While hiding in the water for the hunters to leave she encounters on of them, and he is mesmerized by her beauty.  When she goes home she finds that the tribe want something to be done, but her mother is against it and move her and her twin sister Tamra to a new house far from the draki to save her, and kill of the draki part of Jacinda. Who fights everything wanting to believe the tribe isn't awful or bad.
There she meets the boy from the water and they instantly fall for each other, of course they try countless times to deny it.  He warns her against his cousins who are hunters.   And in the end they couldn't fight fate.  Just when Jacinda is finding a reason to stay Cassian the next in line for the tribe finds her and tries to convince her to come back.  She feels torn, her mother explains what the tribe wanted to do to her.  A very hard decision Jacinda has to make.  Cassian breaks up her first date with Will the boy from the water, only to find out Will has something hidden about him.
In the end it is eleuded to Jacinda, Tamra and their mother going back with Cassian, what will behold them there no one knows, and will Will ever find his way back to Jacinda.  Can't wait to read Vanish.  Definitely a great read that I couldn't put down, read it all in one day!!
