Beautiful Chaos by: Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl Review

Title: Beautiful Chaos
Author: Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl
Publisher: Little Brown and Company
Pages: 518
Series: Castor Chronicles

Description:

Ethan Wate thought he was getting used to the strange, impossible events happening in Gatlin, his small Southern town.  But now that Ethan and Lena have returned home, strange and impossible have taken on new meanings.  Swarms of locusts, record-breaking heat, and devastating storms ravage Gatlin as Ethan and Lena struggle to understand the impact of Lena’s Claiming.  Even Lena’s family of powerful Supernaturals is affected--and their abilities begin to dangerously misfire.  As time passes, one question becomes clear: What--or who--will need to be sacrficed to save gatlin?
For Ethan, the chaos is frightening but welcome distraction.  He’s being haunted in his dreams again, but this time it isn’t by Lena--and whatever is haunting him is following him out of his dreams and into his everyday life.  Even worse, Ethan is gradually loosing pieces of himself--forgetting names, phone numbers, even memories.  He doesn’t know why, and most days he’s too afraid to ask.
Sometimes there isn’t just one answer or one choice.  Sometimes there’s no going back.  And this time there won’t be a happy ending.

My Review:

When everyone thinks everything is about to return to normal...well in Gatlin nothing is normal.  Now they are being plagued by heat and locusts.  Ethan is also starting to forget things he should know and is being chased in his dreams by himself.

Ridley is adapting to being mortal and hating every minute of it, til she gets so desperate she does the unthinkable.

Lena is suffering side affects as are other casters from what is going on in town.  She is also growing jealous of what Ethan had with Liv during the summer.  She also stumbles across a book her mom had and slips back in time watching the relationship between her parents.

Macon is searching high and low for John to find out what Abraham wants with him.  He is also helping Liv deal with her consequences during Lena's claiming.  Most of their time is spent in the tunnels where Macon feels more comfortable.

Amma has gone to a very dark place trying to save someone.  She has restored to all sorts of darkness to try to save him.  To what end will she go no one knows.

This was and is a great series which have you wondering what will happen next.  And now I really can't wait to see what is cookin' next in Gatlin.
