And their off!
Gambling on horse racing is Kentucky's number one sport but when Kentucky Derby Thoroughbred picked to win the Derby, Rails and Nails, ends up poisoned, SKUL special agent Mick Jasper and rookie witch Maggie Park, who keeps her witch powers a secret, are called in to investigate a world of illegal gambling where a run for the roses can prove to be deadly.

My Review:

This book was incredible it follows Maggie Park whose family are witches and she finds her path with Skul and Special Agent Mick  Jasper.  This time they find themselves investigating the horses in the Kentucky Derby and who is hurting them?  This book really pulls you in and has you wondering who is harming the animals and how Maggie and Mick will figure it out?  This book was written so well you don't even realize how quickly the book is going by.  I flew through this story in one day and found myself wanting more.  I also enjoyed watching the family dynamic and how Maggie and her mom and aunt would work through mortal and magical issues.  Definitely looking forward to what is next for the Park family!
