Review: Bridges Burned by: Annette Dashofy

Title: Bridges Burned
Author: Annette Dashofy
Publisher: Henery Press
Series: Zoe Chambers Mysteries #3
Pages: 287
Format: e-book
Source: Great Escapes Book Tours

Description:

Paramedic Zoe Chambers is used to saving lives, but when she stops a man from running into a raging inferno in a futile attempt to rescue his wife, Zoe finds herself drawn to him, and even more so to his ten-year-old daughter. She invites them both to live at the farm while the grieving widower picks up the pieces of his life.

Vance Township Police Chief Pete Adams, of course, is not happy with this setup, especially when he finds evidence implicating Zoe's new houseguest in murder times two. When Zoe ignores Pete's dire warnings, she runs the very real chance of burning one too many bridges, losing everything--and everyone--she holds dear.

My Thoughts:

This book follows Zoe Chambers and the residents of the town she lives in when a fire breaks out and Zoe arrives to help she fights a man who is trying desperately to get into his house adamant his wife was in the house that they had been removed from.

I came across Zoe Chambers series in book 2 when we learned a lot about Zoe's family and in this one Zoe finds herself helping out the grieving widow but at what price?

The action and mystery picks up right away.  Who had the most to gain by this fire that was set?  Was someone intentionally trying to kill or was it an accident?  I also love reading about the relationship between Zoe and Pete and to see where it is headed!
