Description:
Ever since she was young, Paige McLean has longed to see the world. Still, she never imagined the world would land on her doorstep in the form of a charming British surgeon who needs a place to stay when his plans fall through.
After a devastating loss, Alistair Woodbury has vowed to live his life alone. But in all his travels, he hasn't encountered a town as welcoming as Fool's Gold, nor a woman as caring - or as beautiful - as Paige. Her compassion warms him almost as much as their stolen kisses.
When it's Alistair's time to leave, will his brief visit turn into a lifetime stay?
My Thoughts:
When Paige stumbles across Alistair Woodbury who has contracted the measles and is highly contagious but that doesn't bother Paige and she brings him home and nurses him to health. As he starts to recover they learn about each other. Paige learns about Alistair's wife and daughter who died while he was away practicing medicine in foreign countries.
He learns that Paige has always wanted to visit different places but something has always held her back. Perhaps she just needed the right guide or shove in the right direction. In the end as with all Fool's Gold they walk off to their happily ever after.
I love this cute little novellas they help tell romances that may not be worth a full book. Definitely a great one!
