Deck The Halls Book Review

Deck The Halls Description:

Three days before Christmas, Regan Reilly, the dynamic young sleuth featured in novels by Carol Higgins Clark, accidentally meets Alvirah Meehan who is famous for the Lottery Winner and other books by Mary Higgins Clark, at a New Jersey's dentist's office.  That is where it all began.    While Regan's mother Nora, the famous mystery writer is in the hospital with a broken leg her husband Luke and his chauffeur, Rosita are kidnapped and held for a million-dollar ransom.  Together the two sleuths track the case as the inept yet dangerous kidnappers make their demands know.  Meanwhile Luke and Rosita are being held captive on a houseboat on the Hudson River with the threat of a storm approaching.

My Review:

As always Mary Higgins Clark and her daughter prove again they are great mystery writers.  The kidnappers leave you laughing at some of their stupidity.  I felt bad for Rosita who was having the prospect that all would not end well.  And even a hint of romance between the Captain of the Police force Jack Reilly and Regan Reilly.  Who as funny as it is have no relation.  Definitely a great christmas book to read again and again.   I rate this one a 5 cup book.
