An O'Brien Family Christmas by: Sherryl Woods Review

Title: An O'Brien Family Christmas
Author: Sherryl Woods
Format: Ebook (NetGalley Arc)
Publisher: Harlequin
Pages: 400
Rating: 5 cups

Description:

Dating Matthew O’Brien-a playboy and a younger man-cost Laila Riley her career and her parents’ respect. A high price, even for love-and when Laila decides it was just a fling, she breaks it off, despite Matthew’s objections.
It’s a great time to get away from it all, but Laila has reservations about joining the O’Briens for a Dublin holiday. Matthew’s bound to be there, and she’s far from immune. What if she can’t resist temptation?
Meanwhile, the O’Briens are in an uproar over matriarch Nell’s unexpected romance with an old flame. Will she follow her heart despite the risks? And will Laila discover that some risks are actually once-in-a-lifetime opportunities?

My Review:
Laila tries everything in her power to cut Matthew O'Brien and all the O'Brien's out of her life when she dumps Matthew due to what happened with her father and her.  Having him disapprove of her choice in men, and jeporadizing his bank and all.  She is reluctant to even take a job offered by Jess O'Brien at the Inn to be the accountant.  But the pay is good and the view is beautiful.  She turns down the trip to Dublin until Nell (Gram) works her magic on Laila.

While in Dublin she sees a side of Matthew she hasn't seen, she learns what he likes and doesn't and where her heart lies.  Nell also comes across a man she loved as a boy prior to marrying Charles O'Brien.  Nell discovers that even though she is falling for her old flame that the timing is right for her to leave the shores for Ireland.  No matter what the price.

A great story of two loves and a wedding.  I love how Sherryl Woods is able to weave such great stories.
