Description:

The world has fallen in love with Nick Gautier and the Dark-Hunters.

Now Nick’s saga continues in the next eagerly anticipated volume...

Go to school. Get good grades. Stay out of trouble. That’s the mandate for most kids. But Nick Gautier isn’t the average teenager. He’s a boy with a destiny not even he fully understands. And his first mandate is to stay alive while everyone, even his own father, tries to kill him.

He’s learned to annihilate zombies and raise the dead, divination and clairvoyance, so why is learning to drive and keep a girlfriend so dang hard? But that isn’t the primary skill he has to master. Survival is.

And in order to survive, his next lesson makes all the others pale in comparison. He is on the brink of becoming either the greatest hero mankind has ever known.

Or he’ll be the one who ends the world. With enemies new and old gathering forces, he will have to call on every part of himself to fight or he’ll lose everyone he cares about.

Even himself.

My Thoughts:

This one opens up after Nick and his mom have moved to an apartment near Nick's school and his mother new job.  Here he is outside when he meets Ambrose who conveniently looks like Nick and Nick learns is Nick.  Older Nick is nothing like the sarcastic firey teenager we read about.  By this point Nick aka Ambrose is running out of Nick's to get things right.  Something about this younger Nick is different than any other version of him.  With this information Nick learns alot about his various selves and how they managed or didn't.

At school someone is being naughty again and this time is posting horrible things at school about people who want their secrets kept secret.  Then when Nick gets a text with a website where more information is stored he forwards this info to Bubba and Mark  in hopes they can hack the website and find out who is screwing with people and why?

We also get to see an appearance from Nick's Dad who seems pretty determine that Nick needs to die so that he can harness the powers of his son.  Nick's days just get better and better everyday! This book kept up with what we have come to love with Nick books strange goings on that really impact Nick this time as he winds up in the hospital twice over it. Then of course there is the stint in jail as well.  The good times keep on rolling for our fearless demon!
