Description:

The food truck craze has reached the charming coastal town of South Cove, California, but before Jill Gardner—owner of Coffee, Books, and More—can sample the eats, she has to shift gears and put the brakes on a killer . . .

Now that Kacey Austin has got her new gluten-free dessert truck up and running, there’s no curbing her enthusiasm—not even when someone vandalizes the vehicle and steals her recipes. But when Kacey turns up dead on the beach and Jill’s best friend Sadie becomes the prime suspect, Jill needs to step on it to serve the real killer some just desserts.

My Thoughts:

This book follows Jill her cop boyfriend Greg and their friends in South Cove, California in this book we meet Austin's wife Kacey Austin who is in South Cove opening a Gluten free desserts truck when she winds up dead and suspects point to a few but those leads seem to fall short in quick order, was it Austin's gilted girlfried for having her recipes swiped by her jerk of an ex?, or Sadie's son trying to help his mother?, or is it connected to the secrets Austin is keeping from everyone in South Cove?

This book was full of everything I've come to love about South Cove, the sticky situations that Jill gets into even when she tries to stay out of trouble, but trouble seems to find her everywhere she goes.  Add that to a fight brewing between Jill and Amy and the drama never ends.  I love going back to South Cove time and again!

So funny to hear about a gluten free dessert truck. My best memories of a food truck was the ones that sold hotdogs, onions and canned soda. 3 dogs for $1. Imagine that! Jill Broussard; minishoes@msn.com
