The eyes never lie. No one’s eyes are darker than Eryx. Not even the Devil’s.

When Jax and Sasha first see Jordan Ellis, they know she is no ordinary teenager. She’s the daughter of the President after all, but she’s also Anabo – a descendant of Eve.

What they don’t know is that Eryx plans to kidnap Jordan and force President Ellis to pledge his soul. If Eryx’s plot succeeds, the consequences would be catastrophic.

But the Mephisto brothers do know about Jordan’s secret identity. And for one of them, she could be the match that leads to their soul’s salvation.

Now it’s a desperate race against time to save Jordan and prevent Eryx’s haunting eyes from discovering her true identity.

A thrilling story of romance, danger, and intrigue, THE MEPHISTO KISS continues the marvelous mythology that began in THE MEPHISTO COVENANT.

My thoughts:

If you haven't a clue about The Mephisto Covenant series like I was, you're in for a treat!

I received this book for review from its Turkish publisher only to find out that it was the second book in a series. So I rushed to the book store to pick up the first one, The Mephisto Covenant, and read them back to back in a very short time. In many books, whether they're adult novels or YA, we're used to war between good and evil, someone from opposite sides falling in love with each other (i.e. Romeo & Juliet). But, for the life of me, I could never have imagined Eve's daughters and Hell's sons roaming the same pages.

The gorgeous cover you see on the left tells the story of Sasha, Eve's daughter (an Anabo), and Hell's son Jax. Like most series, I thought the second book would be a continuation of their story, but I was mistaken. And I'm so glad I was mistaken!

The Mephisto Kiss's main character is a different Mephisto brother (one of Jax's brothers), Kyros (Key). His love interest is a girl named Jordan, whose father is the president of the United States. Similar to Jax and Sasha yet so very different, this new couple bring a freshness to the story. In addition to the characters, I loved, loved, LOVED the scenery the book takes place in. Especially the mountain top where the Mephisto brothers live-- if it exists, someone should organize a tour so we can see it, seriously.

I'm not going to go into details because I keep mixing up the two books due to my reading them very quickly. If you like action, suspense and mystery in your love stories, The Mephisto Covenant series is for you.
