Born from the ashes of the most fierce and powerful entity in all of Trivaesia, Darla was sent to grow up in the outside world with no knowledge of where she came from. When she finds herself wielding new power, she must decide which part of her will rule her heart—the evil from which she was born or the good by which she was raised.

My Thoughts:

I received this book from Cedar Fort for a honest and fair review these thoughts are mine and mine alone. This book was so good it follows young Darla who is born from a big evil that roamed the earth prior to her birth.

Darla lives with her Uncle Ed and has spent most of her time moving around when Darla is discovered Ed has to reveal the truth to Darla and her friends Ash and Cirrus.  Ash being a wizard or male witch and Cirrus being a half vampire half human.  Darla learns that she was born from Remmus Alrad also known as The Shadow Lord.  His soul is inside of Darla and many will stop at nothing to bring The Shadow Lord to surface.

This book reminded me in a way of the Harry Potter books, with the main character fighting against a Dark Lord.  Definitely a great thrilling ride can't wait to see what happens next.
